MicroNeedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a safe, natural skin renewal treatment used to restore the healthy and youthful appearance of your skin. It can improve the appearance of acne scarring or other scars, fine lines and wrinkles, improve texture, and even help with some stretch marks! MicroNeedling works by using CosmoPen’s disposable sterile needles to create thousands of micro-channels in your skin. This treatment stimulates your body’s natural healing process to make new and tightly remodeled collagen. Although this treatment is most frequently performed on the face and neck, it can also be performed other places on the body, such as the abdomen. MicroNeedling can be used with platelet-rich-plasma to enhance your results. MicroNeedling is safe for all skin types, such as ethnic and fragile skin.

Our goal is to help you achieve the best results possible. We have implemented extra steps in the MicroNeedling process to ensure your comfort, and to deliver you with better results as efficiently as possible. Our cleansing and topical numbing processes allow us to remove any excess oils and impurities from your skin, and penetrate deeper into the dermal layers to provide you with safe, efficient, and long lasting results.

How many treatments will I need?

Although a single treatment can provide noticeable results, ideally a series of 5 or more treatments spaces 4 to 6 weeks apart is recommended to achieve optimal results.

Is there any downtime?

Any downtime for this treatment depends on the depth in which the treatment was performed. The skin will be pink or red in appearance with minor pinpoint bleeding, and may also feel warm, tight, and itchy for 24 to 72 hours after the treatment. The inflammatory reaction typically fades significantly after a couple of days, but it could take up to a week for older patients or those with sensitive skin to fully recover.

How long does the procedure take?

In most cases, the procedure takes between 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area being treated.

When will I see results?

It can take 2 to 4 weeks before visible signs of skin regeneration are seen, however the process will continue to evolve providing a gradual improvement.
